Join us on Saturday, May 16th for our Sew Powerful (sewpowerful.org) Sew Day from 9 am to 12 noon at the Robey Memorial Library, Waukon, IA. Make a purse from kits we will provide. If you have made purses with us before this is for you too. We will provide written instructions plus hands on assistance. Sew Powerful is a Christian mission, volunteer driven, who provides feminine hygiene products for girls in Zambia to help keep them in school. The purses we make are “gift wrap” for the hygiene products and supplies.
You will need to bring your sewing machine, a neutral thread, snips/scissors and a seam ripper. Bring your own drink. This is a free event. Reserve your spot by stopping by Happy Heifer Quilting Co or calling Chris @ 319-560-6418 or Patty @563-929-3434. Once you are done sewing your bag you can enjoy a slice of pie! Reservation are required so we know how many kits and pies needed.
