Emplify Health by Gundersen to hold SafeSitter class in Decorah

Emplify Health by Gundersen will be hosting a SafeSitter class on Wednesday, May 27, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Emplify Health by Gundersen Decorah Clinic. SafeSitter is designed to prepare students age 11-14 to be safe when they’re home alone, watching younger siblings or babysitting. The class is filled with fun games and role-playing exercises. Students get to practice rescue skills like choking rescue and learn many aspects of babysitting.

The class is free thanks to the Gundersen Medical Foundation, but pre-registration is required by May 21. Register early, as space is limited. Light snacks will be provided, but please have you child eat before class and bring a water bottle. To sign up, please call Elizabeth Lippert Kane at (563) 387-5507.
