Toys Go Round Hosts “Adults Only” Open Houses.
Winneshiek County’s toy lending library, Toys Go Round is sponsoring several Summer Open Houses – for adults only!
The Adult Only Open Houses will be held at times and dates separate from the regular hours of operation. The first two Open Houses are Friday June 6th from 3:30 to 6:00 PM and Saturday June 7th from 1:30 – 3:30.
“The idea is very straight forward” said Toys Go Round Board President Matt Tapscott. “We want to welcome the adults in families to our toy library and to provide them with an opportunity to explore the library, visit with staff and volunteers who help coordinate the library, and explore the collection of over 1,500 well maintained toys. we have found that when families visit our toy library with their children, the children are so excited parents have less time to learn about our library.”
Toys Go Round has been in operation in Winneshiek County for 33 years. The 501.c3 non-profit toy library is supported by United Way of Winneshiek County, Winneshiek County Community Foundation, the Marion E. Jerome Foundation, other grants–and individual memberships. Memberships are $75.00 per family per year or $35.00 for a three-month “trial” and are open to everyone.
