Local landowners & farmers are invited to attend two upcoming information sessions – Wednesday, April 9 from 7-8 pm or Thursday, April 10 from 1-2 pm held at Shirley Baker Commons the Luther College campus (720 Luther Dr, Decorah, IA) – to learn about an opportunity to be involved in the Regenerating Soil and Community project. The Regenerating Soil and Community (RSC) Project is a unique partnership between the Winneshiek County Soil and Water Conservation District, Northeast Iowa RC&D, local watershed coordinators, and Luther College that seeks to support area landowners and farmers interested in expanding their knowledge of soil health and regenerative farming practices. Project funding supports women owners/co-owners/operators, beginning farmers, socially disadvantaged, veterans, and/or those with limited resources, that are within a 25-mile radius of Decorah.
