Hi! I was raised all over the country, Air Force brat, and proud of it! I went to High School in Colorado Springs where I met my husband. He is an Iowa boy and we ended up here! I have 2 children, Steven is 24; lives in the Twin Cities; Diana is 20; lives in Cedar Rapids.

My radio experience started at KGCI in Grundy Center back in the 80’s. I started out working the computer and eventually became the morning show personality. I was hooked.

We moved to Decorah in 1994, just as KVIK was getting ready to go on the air. I started out filling in for Patty in the mornings, hey, I use to do it for free!! Eventually, Les started letting me fill in for him and he gave me my own special time on Tuesday afternoon!

On March first of 2005 I was promoted to News Director. That was an exciting day!! So now I come in at 5:30 every morning and bring you news of the area along with a little state information. I was born and raised in the Spring Grove, MN – but recently bought a house in Hesper-which means I am officially and Iowan. I grew up a BIG talker and it is just awesome to have a job where I can TALK for a living!

I have a beautiful daughter, who is my pride and joy. She is a super fun kid –who loves going with me to the races. We are both big dirt track fans and also like to catch NASCAR races whenever we’re home on the weekends! We spend a lot of time in the winter watching football – I got her started very early but haven’t been able to convince her she should be a Broncos fan (she cheers for the Steelers!).

13 years and here I am, still loving what I'm doing. I grew up around Northeast Iowa and call Calmar my home. I've been married to my wonderful wife, "Mrs. Fun", for five years and have two beautiful children, Trevor who is 13, and a brand new baby girl, Jordan. I love music, computers and my job. Jill West’s favorites include The Beatles, Eric Clapton, and anything that involves Steve Winwood! She’s been in radio for 26 years, plus Jill’s the team Mom for her son's little league baseball team. She’s hoping to visit every single beach town in the country. Her favorite is Ft. Lauderdale where she can spend all day out in the ocean on a boogie board! Jill also loves amusement parks, funny chick-flick movies and hiking in the mountains.

Al packs the overnights with excitement and rock that will keep you up all night! Al began his music career on the streets of Brooklyn, singing do-wop! Also a production guru, Al spent many years at WCBS-fm in New York and at WBAB-FM and WAPP-FM, both in New York as well.
